Barrier Cable
Our Barrier Cable solutions are designed and installed in alignment with the Post-Tensioning Institute and International Building Code guidelines for vehicle and pedestrian impact resistance.
These systems are made of cables which are tensioned between concrete or metal posts and are generally used for leading edge protection. They may be seen in parking garages, used as guard rails, and as a pedestrian barrier - different codes may apply to accommodate for accessibility and local code requirements.
It is often looked at as a cost-effective solution allowing designers to meet code mandated air flow requirements without the use of expensive forced air circulation systems. Barrier Cables may also be used in lieu of or in combination with concrete barriers - which permit more flexibility in the design.
